National Night Out ( Oct. 5th) is fast approaching. It is a night for community-building that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The state of Texas and select areas celebrate National Night Out the first Tuesday in October.
If you would like to sign up your neighborhood in Nacogdoches, email Sgt. Brett Ayres at email@example.com. If you don’t live in a participating neighborhood, you can still join in at the Nacogdoches Public Library. Also, college students can attend an event being held on the SFA campus.
